Choosing a protection creates configuration. It does not control your bank, filesystem, cloud account, or equipment by itself. EMILIA says an action is protected from AI actions only after you pin the rule, its owning connector is installed, and a non-effecting refusal test passes. The claim expires when its probe evidence becomes stale.
You approved the rule and connected its owner
Gate sits before the actual money, file, code, data, access, or machine mutation.
A non-effecting refusal probe passed
The verified connector refused a hostile challenge at the named boundary. The status carries its verification time and scope.
A probe is stale or failing
The green state disappears when the connector, mediation evidence, or refusal probe is no longer current.
